Bela is a born and raised Chicagoan. She first received the acting bug when she was three years old and would go to watch her mom's rehearsals for a community theatre production of Bye Bye Birdie. When she was five years old, Bela auditioned for her first musical, Annie. She was offered the role of Molly, however she turned it down because she "only wanted to be Annie." Since then, Bela has redeemed herself by working on good showmanship skills and appreciating every opportunity to improve her craft.
Today, Bela continues to perform, having recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at Millikin University for Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance in the spring of 2019. Recently, she has worked for various musical theatre venues such as Music Theatre Works, Williams Street Repertory and Metropolis Performing Arts. When she is not onstage, Bela enjoys working behind the scenes, teaching not only piano and vocal technique, but also how to put on a compelling performance. You can find Bela spending quality time with her Disney Princess "friends," appearing at multiple parties and events with Princess Party Chicago.
"My favorite piece of music to listen to is basically any musical written by Stephen Sondheim. The way he composes music is so out of the box but also incredibly pleasing to the ear. It's also amazing how intelligent all of his compositions are, and how the music gives us the audience clues as to how the character is feeling. My favorite musical of his would have to be Into The Woods or A Little Night Music."
